I loved my high school. I had a blast. I graduated in the top 10 of my class. I wasn't challenged and didn't learn how to study or be a good student. It took it's toll on my in college.
MHS is guiding my children onward and upward. They love their school too, but I have a feeling, when they get to college with skills that MHS taught, they will love it even more! The education and skills that she acquired at MHS helped her land a wonderful academic scholarship. More importantly, she learned the skills that enable her to excel in her course-load and at the same time, be a thriving member of the university community.

Dog Owners. Trulia User. Resident 1y ago. Lots of stuff to do!! Definitely a collage town. Would not raise children here. The sidewalks are not as accessible in the Evansdale campus compared to downtown. There are some woods nearby with wild dogs or coyotes and deer.
Small town but has a lot going on. Especially during football season. And I have two very small dogs. If you have a dog over 25 lbs then you are pretty much screwed ".
I like how there is a convenient store so close to my house. Lots of education and job opportunities. But on a home football game Saturday. Resident 2y ago. Wonderful community of people. Kids play in the streets and have lots of fun in our neighborhood. Expect to hear loud music, and people at all hours of the night when school is in. The drivers are always polite and helpful, and the busses are usually very clean.
The "executive" end of the boys lines, however, are terrible. Once you learn the routes it's pretty easy and convenient ". Poor road conditions. High taxes. Very fragmented community. Town has a great deal of potential, but lacks the college vibe present in similar places no music scene, art house theatre, post-grad intellectuals.
Morgantown has grown a lot because of West Virginia University and the hospitals. Resident 3y ago. I feel very safe and people around are friendly and take care of their properties. Many residents set off fireworks in the middle of the night. The neighbors are friendly and we look out for each other. Our two kitties have a safe outside range to play.
Though extremely close to major shopping areas, Ruby Hospital, WVU Evansdale Campus, Law School, football stadium, OSHA and pharmacies, the neighborhood is extremely quiet and the people who live on this street are friendly and helpful. Most of the houses are in beautiful condition and have well kept lawns. New shopping center a mile away. Law and Medical schools quarter mile away. Two outstanding hospitals 3 minutes down the road.
